At Sejiwa Senada In Bintulu
Fancy of winning electrical products and at the same time to be entertained and gain knowledge ? Then members of the public should head to the three-day Sejiwa Senada Programme to be held at the Old Airport near here from July 2-4.
Jointly organised by the state and federal governments, this programme is one of the activities of the Government Transformation Plan (GTP) whereby government officials and representatives will "turun padang" to get connected with the "rakyat" from all walks of life.
Its main objective is to enhance relationship between the government and the "rakyat" .Through this programme, the people will be given immediate service on the spot to expedite any official matters with the various government departments and agencies.
On July 2 starting from 2.30 pm, the development exhibition and the e-contest is open to the public and at 8.30 pm there will be a concert and a traditional dance "bertandak" contest.
For the e-contest, lucky persons will receive electrical products in every hour. So do not miss this opportunity to visit all the participating stalls and then to guess the number of ping pong balls before answering quiz questions.
On Saturday (July 3), Chief Minister, Pehin Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud is scheduled to launch the programme at the same venue while the development exhibition is open to the public. In the afternoon, there will a sepak takraw bulatan, telematch and soccer contests to be held.
In the evening, a concert by KPSU and a "bertandak" contest will be held to entertain the crowd. It will be followed by the Bintulu Teen Idol contest, 1Malaysia dance and Chineese wedding attire contest.
On July 4,there will be an aerobic at 7am,telematch, coloring contest, tug-a-war on canvass, ketupat weaving, poco-poco contest, futsal and development exhibition.
Other equally interesting activities are treasure hunt, net ball, soccer, exhibitions on innovation and creativity, one stop centre, cooking demo, lucky draws, flower arrangement contest and receiving suggestions from the public.
Talks by profesionals from PEMADAM will also be held for parents, students and youths.
