"It is vital to practice inclusive approach whereby all parties in the city including peoples' representative and community leaders given some role in development planning," he said.

Kuching North will soon be a city of light when more tourists' spots, waterfront and esplanade will be lighted up.

On the expiry of his term, he said he can leave office in peace & satisfaction having seen marked improvement in road system and flood mitigation especially in Petra Jaya area.

He attributed this to good networking between DBKU and state and federal ministries as well as relevant agencies which had attracted more resources and fund for more development in its area.

"The city hall also continued to excel) in sustainable and quality efforts as well as in sport and social development programs", he added.

He thanked agencies like FAMA for working closely with DBKU in providing modern facilities for small traders.

The fourty million Medan Niaga Satok will be completed by the end of the year.

The key to those successes was the mindful approach whereby the city hall tried hard to meet the expectation of the government and fund providers.

"All projects entrusted to DBKU accomplished and delivered promptly", he pointed out.
