Minister of Resource Planning and Environment II, Minister of Public Utilities and Minister Industrial Development YB Datuk Amar Haji Awang Tengah Ali Hasan attended a special briefing with federal and state departments to foster greater cooperation with the Ministry of Industrial Development (MID) at Wisma Sumber Alam, yesterday morning .
The purpose of the briefing was to provide information update on the status of the development of such policies, incentives, import and export as well as the preparation of agencies and departments for the 11th Malaysia Plan.
YB Datuk Amar Haji Awang Tengah also took the opportunity to welcome the federal directors of the agencies and departments that are newly transferred here and hoped the cooperation among the departments and agencies continue to deliver effective services in line with the wishes of the MID to develop the state as an advanced industrial state.
Among the federal departments and agencies involved are the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI), the Office of Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism (PPDNKK), Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA), Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (Matrade), SME Corporation, Customs, Malaysia Productivity Corporation (MPC), Malaysian Industrial Development Finance Berhad (MIDF) and SME Bank.
Assistant Minister of Community Development and Industrial Estate Development, YB Datuk Peter Nansian Ngusie, Assistant Minister of Industrial Development (Investment and Promotion) and Minister of Rural Development, YB Datuk Haji Julaihi Haji Narawi, the Permanent Secretary of MID, YBhg Datu Liaw Soon Eng and senior government officials were amongst those present.
