The two-day program aims to disseminate information on the importance of record control, introduce the latest standards and regulations on record management, elaborate pre-requisites in implementing electronic records management application (Digital Document Management System or DDMS), and provide opportunities for civil servants in charge of managing records to interact with officers from NAM.

The NAM initiative, Program Cakna Pengurusan Rekod Sektor Awam was first launched in Perlis in 2013, followed by Terengganu and Malacca. Program Cakna Sarawak 2015 is the second of the series of program this year; the first was held in Malacca.

Attended by over 350 participants made up of civil servants from Sarawak Government departments and agencies, this is the first time NAM is organising such a program in the State.
