The Sarawak Government donated RM1 million to the Sabah Disaster Relief Fund after the earthquake incident which hit the state on 5 June.
Present to hand over the cheque to Sabah’s Chief Minister YAB Datuk Seri Panglima Muda Aman today was Minster for Public Utilities and Minister for Industrial Development, Second Minister of Resource Planning and Environment, YB Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan, who was representing Sarawak’s Chief Minister YAB Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Haji Adenan Haji Satem.
The ceremony was held at the Kinabalu National Park and witnessed by the Prime Minister YAB Datuk Patinggi Mohd. Najib Tun Abdul Razak on his visit to the earthquake-hit areas.
Also present at the ceremony were Sabah’s Deputy Chief Minister Tan Sri Datuk Seri Panglima Joseph Pairin Kitingan and Minister of Defence Datuk seri Hishamiddin Tun Hussein (left).
