The workshop, that begins today until Thursday, is organised by the State Library in collaboration with the Service Modernization Unit from the Chief Minister’s Department to provide an understanding of electronic records management concepts and its application.
It will also give talk about the exposure and knowledge of electronic records management that has been implemented overseas such as Australia, Canada, South Korea, United States of America and other countries, as well as presenting methods of forming strategic plans in utilising the practice in terms of budgeting, human resource, facilities, equipment and department capacity.
Professor Eun Gyung Park from McGill University, Montreal, Canada is invited to be the speaker for the workshop – attended by 35 participants consisting of officers in charge of managing electronic records or information system in State Government departments.
