It features sessions by speakers experienced in the field from the United Kingdom, Australia, Germany, South Korea, Singapore and Malaysia, including two keynote addresses by former Sheffield City councillor Lord Paul Scriven and Head of School, director of the CitiesLAB and Research Professor of Architecture at Curtin University’s School of Built Environment (Perth) Prof Steffen Lehmann.

The conference is in line with DBKU’s efforts to realise its objective of implementing the Clean, Beautiful and Safe (CBS) Enhancement Plan (2013-2017) in transforming Kuching into the cleanest, safest, most beautiful and most popular city in Asia within five years.
