Currently, 88.7 percent of teachers (37,177) in Sarawak consist of Sarawakians, while the remaining 11.3 percent (4,738) are non-Sarawakians, indicating a positive progress on the State’s mission to achieve its 90 percent target of Sarawakian teachers teaching in Sarawak by 2018.
