The Sarawak Career and Training Fair (SCaT Fair) returns for its seventh year from 9th to 11th March 2018, which will feature 153 exhibitors from financial aid providers, industries, educational institutions and government agencies.
At the press conference for the upcoming event, Assistant Minister of Urban Planning, Land Administration & Environment and Chairman of Tabung Ekonomi Gagasan Anak Bumiputera Sarawak (TEGAS) YB Datu Haji Len Talif Salleh also said that over 20,000 visitors are expected to be at the fair, which is the largest annual fair of its kind in Sarawak.
Jointly organised by TEGAS and the Ministry of Education, Science & Technological Research Sarawak, the fair will be held at Borneo Convention Centre, Kuching, aiming to bring education, training and employment opportunities to graduates and school leavers in one place.
Aside from becoming a one stop centre for education and training opportunities, job vacancies and loan and scholarship, as well as for career and study talks and demonstrations, the fair will also see various activities being organised.
These include STEM Playground 2018, UCSI University’s Next Big Chef 2018, HackWeekend KCH and Interschool Robotcup Soccer Championship Finals.
Chief Minister YAB Datuk Patinggi (Dr) Abang Haji Abdul Rahman Zohari Tun Datuk Abang Haji Openg is expected to launch SCaT Fair 2018 on 10th March 2018.
