Must read

The Sarawak Corridor of Renewable Energy (SCORE) through the Regional Corridor Development Authority (RECODA) commemorated its 10 years of contributing to Sarawak’s industrialisation with an anniversary dinner held in Kuching on Saturday, 17th November 2018, which was graced by the Governor of Sarawak His Excellency Tun Pehin Sri Haji Abdul Taib Mahmud.

In his speech during the event, Chief Minister YAB Datuk Patinggi (Dr) Abang Haji Abdul Rahman Zohari Tun Datuk Abang Haji Openg, who is also Chairman of RECODA, said that through SCORE Development Plan, Sarawak is expected to generate RM334 billion in terms of investments of which RM267 billion or 80 per cent is expected from the private sector while the remaining amount will come from public sector.

He added that by 2030 when the plan is fully realised, it is also expected to create 1.6 million new job opportunities for young Sarawakians.

The anniversary dinner is the highlight in a series of events lined up by RECODA for SCORE’s 10th anniversary celebration. The agency kick-started the celebration with the Big Bike Riding with the Chief Minister on 27th October 2018, followed by the RECODA Corporate Golf Tournament on 3rd November 2018.
