Parents are recommended to create a flexible but consistent daily routine for their children to help them cope with the MCO situation

With the Movement Control Order (MCO) in place, many of us especially families are being asked to stay at home thus disrupting the daily routines of many.

However, it is important for the people to maintain a sense of normalcy in their daily lives.

The World Health Organization (WHO) recommended for parents to create a flexible but consistent daily routine for their children to help them cope with the situation.

Parents are encouraged to make a schedule for themselves and their children that has time for structured activities as well as free time as this can help children feel more feel more secure and behave better.

Children and teenagers are also encouraged to help plan the routine of the day as they will likely to follow the schedule if they help make it.

Parents are also advised to include exercise in each day to help with stress and for children with lots of energy.
