Forest Department Sarawak recently launched an application dedicated to digitally record data of their visitors during the COVID-19 pandemic.
COVID Forestku Sayang enables guests to register their visit to the department’s offices at Wisma Sumber Alam via a QR code or a website URL.
According to Director of Forests Sarawak Datu Hamden Haji Mohammad, data collected through the application will be utilised for contact tracing should there be positive COVID-19 cases in the department, as well as in enhancing their services.
In a few simple steps, visitors are required to scan the QR code with a QR code scanner app or visit cfs.forestry.com.my at the entrance of the department’s premise.
They will then submit their name, phone number and the department’s office of their choice before proceeding with their visit.
