RAKAN Sarawak reached out to JKR, Serian to find out the development projects that is being implemented in the Serian division.
Below are some of the highlighted projects by JKR Serian in 2021;

Apart from the highlighted projects mentioned above, JKR Serian has also implemented several Projek Rakyat under the 11th Malaysia Plan (RMK-11).
One of the highlighted projects under RMK-11 is the Hill Cutting and Concrete Fencing project at the Tebedu-Entikong Border.
The objective of this project is to improve national border security.
Located at theTebedu-Entikong border, this project aimed at increasing security between borders and also strengthening diplomatic relations between the two countries, which are Tebedu (Malaysia) and Entikong (Indonesia) border.
Commercial and trade links, especially between Sarawak and West Kalimantan, have always played an important role in the promoting economic development for the community of Serian Division.
This project was meant to increase trade between the two nations while upholding border security and to stop illegal trespassing and smuggling activities.
The scope of work under this project included the construction of concrete fences and the cutting of hill slopes.
In addition to this, JKR Serian is also involved in implementing projects under the 12th Malaysian Plan (RMK-12).
Under the RMK-12, JKR Serian will continue its efforts to upgrade the livelihood of the local residents by continuing to implement various development as well as upgrading projects.

In the next three years, JKR Serian hopes to be the leading technical agency and the main implementing agency for infrastructure development projects in the Serian division.
