COVID-19 may be a hindrance for us to participate in any group sports activities, but that does not mean we cannot do it together, separately!
This month, get your running shoes ready for the Integrity Virtual Run 2021.
In conjunction with the State Civil Service Innovation Month, the Sarawak Unit of Integrity and Ombudsmen (UNION), Chief Minister Department with support from the JomRun Running Club is organising the virtual run for the first time.
The virtual event which is open to public and held from 1 October until 30 November 2021 consist of three categories;
- 5 kilometres
- 10 kilometres
- 21 kilometres
Those who registered for the event are entitlements with the following items which will be mailed directly to them;
- Finisher Medal Only
- Jersey Only
- Finisher Medal + Event Jersey + Keychain + Face Towel
- Finisher Medal + Event Jersey + Key Chain + Face Towel (Small) + Drawstring Bag
- Finisher Medal + Event Jersey + Finisher Jersey + Key Chain + Face Towel (Small) + Drawstring Bag
Add-on Available:
- Hoodie
(The entitlement items will be sent out from 30 November 2021, after submission)
The virtual run allows participants to join in run anywhere and anytime before the deadline.
Once the run is completed, participants need to send the organiser the proof of their running activity, and the entitlements will be mailed to their address directly.
In sending in their running activity, participants need to download the Jomrun apps to facilitate their participation in the run.
After completing the run, they need to capture the proof of running and submit through the JomRun apps before 30 November 2021.
The runs/steps can also be accumulated by multiple runs/steps, which should be completed within the running period.
Participants can do this by accumulating multiple runs/steps by using any app or treadmill to track your run, which should be completed within the running period.
Participants can also track their distance by using the following methods:
1. JomRun app (track by km or steps)
2. Connect your JomRun app with Google Fit/Strava/Polar/Apple Health (track by km)
3. Submit your proof of running from any other apps or treadmill in the JomRun app (track by km or steps)
4. Submit the snapshot of your daily steps in the JomRun app (track by steps, 1 step = 0.762m, 1000 steps = 762m)
Registration for the run ends on 30 November 2021.
