Themed ‘Educate Yourself’, all facilities and infrastructures that provided intended as a catalyst in self-learning.
These processes involve exploring, playing while learning, and thinking creatively yet innovatively according to their own capabilities.
Pustaka Negeri Sarawak, Sibu will offer various services and functions in line with the Sarawak State Library Ordinance 1999.
These services made available to the members of the public in Sibu, especially by electronic and digital infrastructure which includes:

In addition, Pustaka Negeri Sarawak, Sibu will also be a reference centre for government depository services for the central zone of Sarawak.
Among the activities that have been planned includes archival awareness seminars and derivative materials, collection centre for derivative materials, assessments and re-visits of records and collections of Sarawakiana materials.
Pustaka Negeri Sarawak, Sibu will be located at Lot 1607, Sungai Merah, situated about seven kilometres from the city centre.
This makes the new library located in the vicinity of the University of Technology Sarawak (UTS) (formerly known as University College of Technology of Sarawak (UCTS)) , Laila Taib Campus College, Fire and Rescue Department and the Sibu Indoor Stadium.
Conveniently located among university campus and students, the new library will be an invaluable asset in creating a positive impact on students’ achievement as well as instilling a habit of life-long learning.
