Professionalism – The Importance Of Trust

Must read

As professionals, civil servants play an important role in society and it is important that civil servants serve them ethically, with integrity, loyalty, impartiality, and objectivity.

Civil servants work for the government and the people.

Civil servants develop and deliver public programs and services, inform policy decisions, and provide evidence-based advice to leaders.

Public trust in government is based on how they feel about using government services, programs, and policies. This scenario also has to do with how efficiently you perform your tasks.

In order to achieve the goal of satisfactory and balanced development in the interest of the country and its people, it is also necessary to ensure that all policies formulated are effectively implemented and implemented.

Officials must be politically sensitive to perform their duties effectively, but they should never allow themselves to be politicized. Political leaders need to be involved in politics to gain public trust, gain political support, and secure government mandates.

While the public service is not directly involved in the weighing of political considerations, we understand the priorities, considerations, and agendas of elected governments, and are aware of the growing diversity of our society and the complexity of the environments in which they operate.

As a civil servant who loves the country, we will certainly continue to be loyal and support the ruling government even if the government changes. In other words, civil servants are ‘non-partisan’ – not inclined and not siding with any political party.

It is this kind of attitude that enables officials to act as professional technocrats who improve government performance.

The will to serve and truly help people must always be cultivated in civil servants, and this spirit must be passed on to the younger generation of civil servants.

At the same time, we must strive to further improve our services and have the courage to reform. We want the younger generation of civil servants to care less about the facilities they receive than the contributions they make, so we need to encourage this spirit.

If every civil servant can perform work quickly and efficiently, be professional and have integrity, the civil service will be effective and contribute to a developed, and prosperous country.

Public services have never faced such a test as today. People are watching our government, and with this challenge comes opportunity. People want quality government. They want to be reminded of the strong feeling that their government is a government of the people, by the people, for the people, a government that works for them.
