Companies that want to operate in green zones must obtain approval from the State Disaster Management Committee JPBN Secretariat
Economic activities are allowed to be carried out in green zones across the state during the third phase of the Movement Control Order (MCO).
Companies that want to operate in green zones must obtain approval from the State Disaster Management Committee (JPBN) Secretariat.
This was announced by the JPBN chairman, Deputy Chief Minister YB Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas.
During this period, workers will be not allowed to travel between Red Zones and Green Zones.
However, for businesses that are allowed to operate workers from red zones cannot be used. This is to avoid spread of Covid-19 to the green zones.
The economic sectors which are permitted to operate during this MCO period must use local workers.
Among the sectors that have been allowed to operate are health services, the banking and financial institutions, manufacturing industries and small-medium enterprises, agriculture, hardware shops, vehicle repair workshops and spare part shops.
As of now, about 60 per cent of Sarawak was categorised as green zones.
