As part of his working trip to Sri Aman Division, State Secretary YB Datuk Amar Jaul Samion visited the Rumah Spektra Permata (RSP) affordable housing development project at Kampung Lingga Extension Scheme.
An ongoing project by Housing Development Corporation (HDC), RSP Lingga as it is known involves the construction of 10 units of RSP terraced houses at a revised cost of around RM1.96 million.
It began development in June 2020 and was supposed to be completed a year later. However, due to unforeseen circumstances, the project is now estimated to be completed by December 2021.
In general, RSP is an affordable housing scheme by the Sarawak Government to help low to middle-income earners to purchase their own homes.
With the unit price ranging from RM90,000 to RM160,000, proposed houses constructed under the scheme are either single-storey terrace or single-storey detached on stilts with a minimum area size of 750 to 850 sq ft. Each unit consists of three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a living room, a dining room and a kitchen.
RSP Scheme Application Conditions:
- Lot holder (allottee) allocated by the Land and Survey Department Sarawak
- Aged between 18 to 65 (Joint Loan for applicants aged 50 and above)
- Does not own a house / land
- Married / single parents
- Household income of between RM1,500 to RM6,000
