“I humbly try to see that Sarawak will become the most advanced region… and the nerve center of Malaysia – not only politically, but in terms of economy,” said the Premier of Sarawak YAB Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri (Dr) Abang Haji Abdul Rahman Zohari bin Tun Datuk Abang Haji Openg during the Majlis Amanat Perdana YAB Premier Sarawak 2023 that took place at Borneo Convention Centre, Kuching on 12 January 2023.
The event which celebrated his sixth year as Sarawak Premier also saw remarks by Deputy Premier YB Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas and State Secretary YB Datuk Amar Haji Mohamad Abu Bakar bin Marzuki.
Nearly 1,000 people were in attendance for the occasion, including members of the Sarawak civil service, the private sector, students, grass-root leaders and non-governmental organisations.
