Awareness Seminar On One Stop Service Centre

Must read

In line with the national economic agenda to transform Malaysia into a high income economy status by 2020, the Malaysia Productivity Corporation (MPC) in collaboration with Service Modernisation and Quality Unit (UPPQ), Chief Minister’s Department has organized Awareness Seminar on One Stop Service Centre. The conference was held at Kuching, Sarawak.

Among the main objectives of the conference is to provide an understanding regarding the relevance of regulatory review to today’s economic circumstances, to provide an interactive session to discuss key challenges to better regulation and share practical strategies and techniques and to evaluate opportunities and available options on regulatory reforms that positively impact rather than impede business, industry and community.

The conference which was launched by YB Tan Sri Datuk Amar Haji Mohamad Morshidi Abdul Ghani, State Secretary, featured international experts, entrepreneurs and national legislators to learn and share in implementing one stop service centre.

In his speech, YB Tan Sri Datuk Amar Haji Mohamad Morshidi Abdul Ghani indicated that “Government agencies must collaborate if they hope to operate efficiently and effectively.  Collaboration is the only strategy that allows today’s public sector organisations to reach across jurisdictions to adapt themselves to a fast-changing societal landscape and to significantly improve their ability to deliver services at internet speed.”

One-stop service centres for investors and for the broader business community are essential elements in creating a world class ease-of-doing-business environment.
