State Level Women’s Day 2020

The State level Women’s Day celebration was held on 29^th August 2020 at Kuching where among the recipients of the Anugerah Tokoh Wanita was Dato Norhayati Mohd Ismail who won the Chief Minister’s Award for Women Leadership

YBhg Dato Norhyati Mohd Ismail was awarded the Chief Minister’s Award for Women Leadership.

She was among the six recipients of the Anugerah Tokoh Wanita 2020 during the State level Women’s Day celebration.

Other recipients include YB Datuk Seri Rohani Abdul Karim was awarded the Datuk Patinggi Laila Taib Award.

On the other hand, Kansar kara won the Chief Minister’s Award for Women Entrepreneurs.

Mary Tay Sew Geok won the Chief Minister’s Award for Women Social Workers.

Dr Rasidah Bolhassan won the Chief Minister’s Special Achievement (Digital) Award

The Purple Lily Social Association Kuching won the Outstanding Women Organisation Award.

With the theme Sarawak Women in Digital Era, the State level Women’s Day celebration was held in the Borneo Convention Centre Kuching (BCCK) on 29^th August 2020.

Organised by the Sarawak Women and Family Department, the objective of the event was to appreciate the achievements and contributions of Sarawak women in various fields.

Due to Covid-19, the event was attended by only 250 invited guests while it was live-streamed at Wisma Wanita and all over the State.
