A Liaison Officer Course, held from July 15 through 16 in Kuching recently, brought together 36 officers and staffs from state and federal government departments along with some employees from the private sectors came together to learn how to become better representatives for the state.
Liaison Officers carry huge responsibilities therefore they are to equip themselves with sufficient knowledge especially on topics on geographical, racial, and cultural background of the state, and they ought to know the attractions and places to visit in order to carry out their duties efficiently, Deputy State Secretary (Public Relations and Corporate Affairs) YBhg Datu Misnu Taha said at his address, at the event.
He also added that he hopes that those who took part in this course would be able to perform better because they represent the frontline of the Government – referring to the public sectors.
The two-day course was jointly organised by Public Relations and Corporate Affairs Unit (UPAK) of Chief Minister’s Department and Centre for Modern Management (CMM).
