180 units of concrete artificial reefs costing RM2 million are to be anchored from Sematan to Lundu coastal waters; at present, over 4,700 units are placed along the seabed throughout Sarawak waters.
The event was organised by Department of Fisheries Malaysia (Sarawak) and was attended by community leaders as well as members of Sukarelawan Perikanan (SUPER), consisting of local fishermen from all over Sarawak who volunteer to assist the Government in monitoring fisheries-related situations.
