Themed “Unity in Diversity”, All 15 states will compete for the event that features nine sports, namely archery, athletics, badminton, lawn bowl, weightlifting, swimming, bowling, table tennis and chess.
The Sarawak contingent aims to have 190 athletes to represent the state; they will be divided into four categories which are category A (physical disability or cacat anggota), category B (visually impaired or cacat penglihatan), category C (cerebral palsy or spastics) and category D (intellectually disabled).
The Ministry of Welfare, Women and Family Development has been appointed as the organiser for this year’s Paralympiad Games.
