Organised by the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI), the carnival is an outreach programme aiming at communities including students, teachers, youths and parents to create awareness and boost the development and culture of science, technology and innovation, in line with the nation’s challenge to establish a scientific and progressive society as stated in Vision 2020.
The programme features various activities and exhibitions focusing on science, technology and innovation; the Kuching, Sarawak edition marked the first pit stop for the nationwide roadshow carnival, which will be followed by the southern zone (Negeri Sembilan, Johor and Malacca), northern zone (Perlis, Kedah, Penang and Perak), central zone (Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya), eastern zone (Kelantan, Terengganu and Pahang) and Sabah.
