Members of the public are advised to take notice of some frequently-touched surface that needs frequent disinfecting
Regular cleaning and disinfecting are found to be one of the effective ways around home to help limit the spread of COVID-19.
This precautionary step is necessary to ensure a safe environment at home to break the chain of transmission of the virus.
First, members of the public are urged to identify surfaces that are most-frequently touched and prepare disinfectant spray from regular household items.
The Ministry of Health, Malaysia have suggested several frequently-touched surfaces that needs frequent disinfecting namely door knob, light switch, staircase railing, sink, water faucet, toilet flush handles, carpet and tables.
And among the frequently-touched public surfaces include gas pump handles, mailbox handles, escalator rails, vending machine buttons, parking meter kiosk, ATM buttons, public sinks and toilet handles, public door handles and touch screen food kiosks.
Members of the public are also urged to wash their hands before and after the disinfecting work.
