Healthcare personnel and struggling families can now make requests for personal protective equipment (PPE) and food aid package through the web app
Sarawak based community #JagaSamaDirik has established a web app.
The web app aimed at hospital to enable them to make personal protective equipment (PPE) request, food aid request to unfortunate families as well as encouraging Sarawakians to volunteer their time and expertise to help in this initiative.
The web app was developed by Yogen Poonudurai from Fira Cloud Tech and uses Ionic Framework and Firebase as backend.
Among the items listed for PPE includes 3D printed face shields, disposable face shield, N95 masks and transparent A4 sheets.
As for food aid package includes rice (five or 10 kg), cooking oil, instant noodles, baby milk formula, canned food, diapers, salt and sugar.
#JagaSamaDik is a local initiative by Sarawakians that helps the frontliners in fighting Covid-19 and unfortunate families affected by the Movement Control Order (MCO).
By helping the healthcare workers who are the vital frontliners in curbing Covid-19, hospitals and clinics can make request for PPE such as face shield, boot covers and mask.
The initiative also reaches out to struggling families who can request for food care package after sending in request through the web app.
As of now, the community is operating at the SMA Creative Heritage Innovation Centre (CHIC), one of SMA Digital Innovation Hub (DIH) at Bangunan Yayasan Sarawak.
Members of the public may also make a drop-off for PPE and food for donation in front of the building.
