The Sarawak Multimedia Authority (SMA) is calling all entrepreneurs to participate in the ‘Build an eCommerce Website with WordPress’ workshop.
The two-day workshop which will be held on two separate dates (8-9 August for Group 1 and 15-16 August for Group 2) will be conducted online from 10 am to 5 pm (Day 1) and 10 am to 1 pm (Day 2).
The instructor for the workshop is Irfan Ismail, the co-founder and CTO of Founders Malaysia, a start-up that empowers youth and working professional with entrepreneurship and innovation education.
Among the learning outcomes that participants can expect from the workshop includes gaining an understanding on how a website works, domain and hosting, learning how to build a WordPress website, themes and plugins, easy drag and drop customization, learning how to manage and attract customers to your Commerce store.
For those interested in participating, among the prerequisite needed are a laptop or computer, microphone, Internet access, webcam (optional), own domain (optional) and product images (optional).
On Day 1, participants will learn about domain and hosting, getting free domain, host website with GCP and building a website with WordPress.
On Day 2, participants will setup payment with stripe, learn how to manage online sales, understand the cost of maintaining a website and learn how to attract customers to their e-Commerce store.
During the workshop, each participant will be getting an online manual of the workshop, free domain and hosting, sample product assets, sample themes and plugin and e-Certificate upon completion.
The workshop is open to all Sarawakians with only limited seats are available.
