Those travelling via flight are reminded to take necessary precaution to prevent the spread of Covid-19
In the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, it is necessary for people to take necessary precaution when traveling by flight.
The World Health Organization (WHO) recommended several basic yet necessary precautions for travellers.
Apart from following the instructions from the airline company, traveller must clean their hands frequently and bring disinfectant wipes to clean any surfaces before touching them and then discard the wipes in a sealed plastic bag.
Travellers should also try to stay at least one meter away from others when possible.
Traveller should follow the floor markers that show how apart each individual should stand from each other.
When travelling, travellers must always use face mask.
Older adults (age 60 and above) or people with underlying conditions who are at higher risk of catching and developing severe forms of Covid-19.
Therefore, it is not recommended for them to travel.
But if they must travel, they must wear medical mask to give them better protection from others who may have the virus.
Healthy people on the other hand can wear a fabric mask to prevent the virus from spreading to others.
Necessary precaution taken by Sarawak to contain the spread of the disease includes reducing the number of flights Sarawak from 1st to 14th August.
All Malaysian and foreigners entering the State from other parts of Malaysia via flight must fill in the e-Health Declaration Form.
