Setiausaha Kerajaan Sarawak, YB Datuk Amar Haji Mohamad Abu Bakar Bin Marzuki telah mengadakan lawatan kerja ke beberapa tapak di daerah Gedong dan daerah Simunjan bagi memastikan kesesuaian lokasi sempena lawatan Premier Sarawak, YAB Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri (Dr.) Abang Haji Abdul Rahman Zohari bin Tun Datuk Abang Haji Openg ke daerah tersebut pada 20 Mei 2023.
