Desa Bina Diri (DBD) was established to provide care, protection and rehabilitation to beggars, vagrants and homelessness in order to produce productive and skilled individuals towards a positive attitude change to reintegrate into society.

The National Budget 2022 has garnered positive response from citizens regarding the initiatives and measures introduced for women’s welfare and well-being. Given the opportunity and space, women can be the driving force for national productivity and economy.

Technology is an engine of growth that facilitates enhancement of digitalization which has brought an optimum advantage as a platform to market their economic activities.

Realizing the importance of an inclusive early childhood education, the Sarawak government continues to provide a grant of RM36 million in 2020 for early childhood development. Out of the RM36 million grant, RM16 million are distributed to all kindergartens and nurseries registered with the authorities.

Ministry of Welfare, Community Wellbeing, Women, Family and Childhood Development Sarawak (KWKPK) has developed the Kenyalang Gold Card (KGC). With the tagline ‘Life Begins at 60’, the initiative that is dedicated to Sarawakian senior citizens will enhance their well-being and welfare through the provision of facilities and benefits in forms of discounts, rebates and other privileges from a variety of organisations and commercial sectors.
